Meet the characters of Deluxe Irish Viking Adventure (DIVA) weekend 2010

This weekend, I had a completely amazing time in and around Dublin with some awesome American friends. I promise I will soon be posting more pictures and stories about it, but for now, let me introduce you to my fellow "DIVA" (Deluxe Irish Viking Adventure) members. Their names have been changed to protect their privacy, and also because it's really fun to rename your friends. Yes, I did choose the most ridiculous pictures of each of them from this weekend. But come on, they did give me some pretty incredible material with which to work. Here they are:

This is Chiquita, the fabulous hostess of the weekend. She has lived in Dublin for the last 4 years, and loves sheep, ski goggles, and games involving the collection of points. Chiquita showed us around all weekend, making sure that we were taken care of in every possible way. She is also the creator and instigator of the Deluxe Irish Viking Adventure tour.

This is Trixie, who went to college with Chiquita. She also lived in Boston and became good friends with Shanaynay while there. (The common link between our 6 degrees of separation) Earlier this week, Trixie ran the Dublin marathon in just under 3:14, and embarrassed many an Irish lad by beating their times. Essentially, she is a running goddess.

This is Shanaynay. Shanaynay and I are sorority sisters from college, and when she planned to come over to this side of the pond, we knew we had to meet up and have a crazy Euro trip together. Mission: accomplished.
