Drier of Hair

Right now, I am in the midst of getting prepared* for a weekend away in Portugal. In all of this preparing, I happened to check out our hotel's website. There I saw one of my all-time favorite things about visiting a non-English-speaking country: The Mis-translated English Statement.

Our hotel room comes with several amenities, one of them being a "Drier of Hair." This automatically makes me envision a small Portuguese boy making the rounds every morning, blowdrying every woman's hair in the hotel. His name would be something like Paco**, and you would tip him with candy and a few euro cents. Alas, right as my imagination is making me miss the drier of hair I never even knew, reality and the fact that all our room would likely hold is a burned-out blowdryer hit me.

Oh, well. At least our hotel will likely have more posted mistranslations. Pictures and adventures to come next week!

** Clearly, this is my first time to Portugal. Hopefully I will learn some actual Portuguese names there.
