The Brits
Tonight, I learned from H. and B. that The Brits is a music award show here, with awesome performances from people all over the world. It was technically on last night, but H cleverly dvr'ed the entire show and together, we explained to each other why certain musicians are famous while watching. I told her that the concept of Tiny Tempah is kind of funny and strange to me- a British rapper. He dresses kind of like a hipster. And explained who Boy George is. In return, H. gave me the background on Robbie Williams' career. And we both loved Adele's performance of "Someone Like You." Now that girl just knows how to SING.

Could Tiny Tempah be a take-off of "Tiny Tim?" You may be too young to remember him. His most famous song was "Tip-toe Through the Tulips." Very weird, and not musically talented! Love, Mom
ReplyDeleteThat is an excellent song by Adele! I've been obsessed with "Rolling in the Deep" lately. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sg36c7DjEmo&feature=related)
ReplyDeleteOMG I love Robbie williams! Both his pop stuff and swing... I considered myself a closet fan, but I guess it's out now!
ReplyDeleteAnd I fully agree with both Mrs. Barham and Molly.
